Hello,
does anybody know what kind of improvement you can get enabling the
compression protocol in MyODBC? I am transferring text fields; does this
improve data transfer rate?

Hi!
If you use MySQL over a slow network and you have fast computers, you
should see a big speedup. The only answer to this question is that
you have to test this yourself on your setup..
