|
|
Hi, Im having a bit of trouble compiling on NT.
Im coming from a gcc background, so please bear with me....
Ive downloaded the source, and it seems to be in Microsoft Dev Studio
format (projects, not workspaces). When I try to compile the source in
the myodbc subfolder, I get many undefined symbols. I searched the
archive and found notes posted on making lib.lib dependent on dbug. I
did this, and then got about a millon error all saying that _strstr is
already defined in LIBCMTD.lib (error LNK 2005).
Does anyone have a WORKSPACE (with all the correct settings, etc) that
can be downloaded that can compile on NT with Visual C++ 5.0 (Pro.)?
Is there something Im doing wrong?
Thanks for the help

PS sorry for the crosspost to both win23 and myodbc

Hi Joseph,
I had the same problem and wondered the same thing.
I had to add the strings, zlip, mysys etc projects into the myodbc workspace,
then add them as dependencies. Then it worked ok and built myodbc.dll with no
errors.
Im not sure if that was the right thing to do, but it worked.
Cheers.
