Hi,

I followed wiki instructions for setting up Eventum ( latest version )
and got it runnig almost running fine.

I have created 2 users: one has Manager profile and the other is
Reporter profile

As repoter I was able to create a new issue.

then, as the manager I changed the status of issue.

But, I found strange that, as a Reporter I could not found any "reply"
button, because I think even reporters ( my customers )
should be able to give me a reply as "yes, this is fine. You can close
up this issue for now".

For my installation I setup up 3 php job scripts:
- misc/check_reminders.php
- misc/download_emails.php
- misc/process_mail_queue.php

Is there anything else that I´m mssing?

best

Hi,

That I would say, is a minor limitation of Eventum. Once a Reporter raises an Issue, all he/she could do after is attach / upload files.

I say this is a minor limitation as I feel that the Issue clarification ping-pong could always happen outside the tool and resulting clarifications alone could be recorded by the Issue Owner (not the Reporter, in this model).

Yes, it would have been much more convenient if Eventum had provided for a mechanism to record the related discussions like Flyspray does (www.flyspray.org).

Thanks and rgds,
Watson

I see you added download_emails.php to the crontab, but did you setup an account in the
administration section? You will need to add an email account in the project for the
"reply" button to appear.

OOPS!

My apologies if I have misled you. I just read the posting from Bryan Alsdorf and I understand that there is a way by which the Reporter could carry on with some conversation thru email. That particular feature I have not looked into at all.

Once again, my apologies!

Thanks and rgds,
Watson
